Load Measurements¶
Where am I?¶
- Start Work Order
- Add Permit(s)
- Measure Load(s)
- Add Pilots and Drivers
- Upload to TESS
- Complete Job
Open the Work Order and Permit¶
Open the Work Order from the AppSheet Work Order list.
Scroll down to the Permits section. In the Permit table, select the Permit Number you need to update. A red Permit Number indicates critical details are missing.

Edit the Permit¶
Select Edit in the bottom right-hand side of the screen.
This opens the Permit form for editing.

Record actual load measurements¶
Enter the actual measurements into the Actual fields. This may include:
- Actual Width
- Actual Height
- Actual Length
- Actual Ground Clearance
- Any other actual measurements required by the form
Measure width¶
Width uses a three-step approach:
- Measure the trailer width.
- Measure the left-hand side overhang.
- Measure the right-hand side overhang.
Enter these measurements into the relevant fields. The system will calculate the full width.
Most measurement fields have tolerances set as maximum and minimum values. An alert will show if, for example, the actual width exceeds the permit width.

Measured ground width requirements¶
Where a measured ground width requirement applies, such as 1.2 m at 6.5 m, the system will calculate the required measuring point based on the trailer width.
Using the trailer width measurement, AppSheet will calculate how far out each side needs to be measured for the height.
Enter the relevant actual measurements into the Actual fields.
Save actual measurements¶
Once the actual measurements have been entered:
- Select Next.
- Select Save.
The actual permit measurements are now saved.
